In the first quarter of 2025, the educational games category on Android in Kenya showcased some interesting trends. Using data from Sensor Tower, we examine the performance of the top five apps in this category.
Kids Nursery Rhymes - Domi TV saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 9.6K by the end of March. The app maintained a stable growth in active users, starting at 5.5K and reaching approximately 6.9K by the quarter's end.
Kids Games: For Toddlers 3-5 experienced a significant rise in downloads, ending the quarter with about 5.1K. Active users showed a steady climb from 23K to nearly 24.3K throughout the quarter.
ABC 123 Kids: Number and math had a fluctuating download pattern, with a noticeable decline towards the end of March, where downloads were approximately 1.8K. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 13.3K.
Math Kids: Math Games For Kids saw an increase in downloads mid-quarter, reaching 3.5K in February, but ended with a decrease to about 2K. Active users showed a similar trend, peaking at 5.6K before dropping to 4.3K.
Finally, Kids TV experienced a decline in downloads, starting at 2.4K and dipping to 925 by quarter's end. Active users, however, remained strong, peaking at over 10.3K in late March.
